I have researched it online, and I think I qualify for a 1 year program, I just don’t know if there really is such a thing. I also heard that you can train in a hospital, but I want to go into an accredited program, is this possible?

Well a degree as an ultrasound tech will not get you there a nursing position would be a start. However in order to do research in Nuclear Medicine you would need an MD, DO, PhD or a combination of the clinical and professional degrees. This would entail you going to a 4 year undergraduate institution, 4 year medical school and possibly doing a 5th year in medical school to complete your PhD if you wanted to have the dual degree. I am not in nuclear medicine and am not aware of any accredation programs that allow the holder to work in that area of medicine other than professional degrees.

    Good luck
